  • The declaration of independence was signed

    The declaration of independce was signed july 4th 1776 publically and we became an independent country. All the states had rights, librity, and freedom.
  • The U.S constitution

    The U.S constituiton was signed on September 17 1787, it is divided into seven articles.
  • Cotton Gin

    Cotton Gin
    The cotton gin was invented in 1794 by Eli Whitney. This was an invention that created a greater demand for cotton and slaves.It was a very important invention that cahnged history because slavery all the sudden came so much more popular. This invention made it easier to get the seeds out of the cotton which then you could produce way more cotton than just having slaves pick out the seeds with there hands.

    The trail of tears was also known as the Indian Removal Act which started in 1830. Presisdent Andrew Jackson wanted people to move to where the Indians were so he kicked them out and made them move west. This is why it's called the trail of tears also because many Indians died along the way.

    The civil war was between the Union and the Confederates fighting for what they believed in. It is very inportant and changed history because it went from slavery to slaves having rights but being alittle limited. The civl war was very bloody and many brave soliders died, even blacks that were free joined he Union side during the war

    The Homestead Act made the settlement of the western territory popular by granting families 160 acres of land for 5 years of continuous residence on that land.

    On April 14th 1865 Abraham Lincoln was assasinated by John Wilkes Booth. This was an inportant part of the civil was because he was the president of the United states. He was assasniated at Fords Theater, and the man who assasinated him was a confederate who hated Lincoln.
  • Stock market crash of 1929

    On October 129th 1929, black tuesday hit wall street big time. A lot of money was lost wiping out a lot of investors. Along with the Great Depression it was one of the longest lasting economic downturns in history.

    On August 28th 1963, a American Civil Rights activist (Martin Luther KIng Jr.) made a now to be famous public speech. It was a moment of freedom, he gave the speech to over 250,000 civil rights supporters.
  • Apollo 11 landing on the moon

    Apollo 11 was a spacecraft that landed the first humans ever to be on the moon. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were ther first humans to be on the moon on July 20th 1969.
  • Eruption of Mt. St. Helens

    On May 18th 1980, mount st. elens erupted in Washington, United States. It reached the whole was to the Columbus River which is 50 miles from where the eruption accured. 57 people were killed, and it damaged a lot of land causing the prices for the damages of $2.88 billion dollars.
  • My birthday

    It was the day I was born, alo't of my friends have the same birthday as me. I play starter defense in soccer and I'm captain of the jv team. I played track last year but I might do indoor soccer instead.
  • Terrorist attacks

    The terroist attacks took place in New York city and Washington D.C. on September 11th, 2001. It nearly killed 3,000 people and caused $10 billion for damages. It was a scary site for everyone in the United States.
