Break-Up
Parents Pattie Mallette and Jeremy Bieber split up, only 10 months after Justin was born. Spent a lot of time with his grandparents. Had his own Toronto Maple Leaf bedroom at their house. -
Beat it
Justin's mom Pattie was always playing music in the car and at home. She would crank the Boyz ll Men, and Micheal Jackson and Juston would wail on whatever was handy - pots and pans, plastic bowls, tables and chairs with either spoons, or his own hands. She finally got him a little toy drum kit to keep him from destroying the place. People started to notice that he was laying down a pretty sick beat. -
Musical Talents
At this age, Justin was able to climb up onto the stool in front of the drum kit at the local church. He also discovered that he could pound on the piano aswell. Mother, Pattie and her friend Nathan McKay put together a benefit event at a local bar to collect donations for Justin to get his first real trap set with a kick drum, floor toms, snare, hi-hat and boom cymbal. -
Feeling The Music
At age 6, Justin started first grade at Jeanne Sauve Catholic School in Stratford. School by day, musical education from the radio at night. As soon as Justin was big enough to get his arms around a guitar he started to learn that instrument as well. Nobody knew anything about Justins musical talents. -
Bestfriends
At age 8, Justin started playing house league hockey with a bunch of guys from a regular English-speaking school. Chaz Somers and Ryan Butler, to this day are still his bestfriends. -
Stratford Star
Justin entered a local talent show called "Stratford Star". The winning prize was a microphone that you could use to record on to your own computer and a couple of hours at a local recording studio. Justin liked the prize but he was more into the singing in front of people part. Justin made it all the way to the final round, and ended up coming third in his very first talent show ever! -
Busking
As a kid, Justin like to go golfing with friends, but he didn't any money to pay for it so he decided to start singing on the step of the Avon Theatre to rack in a few dollars. His grandpa would sit in the car across the word to make sure he was safe. After only a couple hours Justin had almost $200 sitting in the suitcase. -
Viral Video
Lots of people would video tape Justin singing, and soon these videos were posted on Youtube, and also videos Pattie posted from the Stratford Star. There were hundreds of hits on them, and Pattie began getting weird calls from people they didn't know. One day she got a call from the school district about a man, Scooter Braun, that had called looking for Justin. She finally decided to call him back, listening to everything he had to say. Videos on youtube were up to 72000 hits. -
Atlanta
Scooter convinced Pattie to let him fly them down to Atlanta on Justin's first flight ever. Scooter took Justin and his mom to Jermaine Dupri's Studio to hangout and play some video games. When they arrived Justin spotted Usher in the parking lot and offered to sing for him, but Usher completely blew him off and went inside. -
"With You"
Justin posted a video up of him singing "With You" by Chris Brown on youtube, Scooter told Pattie to take it down and tape it again once Justin's ugly hair cut grew back, but shortly after it was poster it already reached 25000 hits and after just one month, the song hit a million! -
Usher
Scooter decided it was finally time to get some star power on their side, and he knew the two perfect people that could help majorly with this. Justin Timberlake, and Usher. Two weeks before Justin's 14 birthday, Scooter flew Justin to Atlanta to meet Usher/ Justin sang "You Got It Bad" and Usher loved him and wanted to work with him. -
The Real Deal.
Justin got signed for a recod deal with L.A Reid, CEO of Island Def Jam Music Group. -
My World
Justin's first album "My World' would consist of "One Time", "Down to Earth", and "One Less Lonely Girl" One Time was released two weeks early on to Youtube with absolutely no promotion or anything. A few days later, the song was the #3 video on youtube.This album sold 60000 in five weeks. -
XL Center
Justin walked into the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut for the first time, and in less then forty hours it will be jammed with almost twenty thousand screaming fans.This is the beginning of his World Tour that will hit eighty-five cities in the US and Canada.
