    Disney World Opening
Disney world was unique because it was one of the first BIG amusement parks that thousands of people wanted to go to. It took peoples minds off of the troubles in their lives and let them become children once again.People were shaky about the opening of Disney World, then after they saw that everything was working, they felt more calm about it.
Disney World has given many people jobs. Today, it employs 62,000 people. It is the largest single-site employer in the country.

  • The 1980's Winter Olympics

    The 1980's Winter Olympics
This was the second time the Upstate New York village hosted the Games, after 1932. The only other candidate city to bid for the Games was Vancouver-Garibaldi, British Columbia, Canada, which withdrew before the final vote. Some people were happy about the results of the Olympics, and some people were angry about who won because everyone wants their own country to win.
I would have wanted to go to the 1980's winter Olympics because of "Miracle on Ice".

It was the youngest team in U.S. national team history and the tournament. The U.S. was not expected to win, knowing Russia's past. We won with a comeback of 4-3.

How will you change the world?
I want to change the world by helping animals. I would like to either be a zoo vet, a self-employed vet, or a wildlife animal rehabilitator. I am going to go through about 8 years of college maybe 9 if I am going to be a zoo vet or self employed-vet, and if I am going to be a wildlife animal rehabilitator, I will have to go through about 7 or 8 years of college. I want to try and decrease the number of endangered species and educate people on the proper care of certain animals.

    World Wide Web debute
buy things from our house, buy food online and have it delivered. We can do so much more now, than we ever have been able to. Internet and Web are commonly mistaken for the same thing. While the Internet refers to the networking infrastructure that connects millions of computers across the world, the World Wide Web is the collection of text pages, music, files, digital photographs and animation which users can access over the Internet. The Web represents only one part of the Internet.Many...

  • The Cloning of Dolly the Sheep

The Cloning of Dolly the Sheep
I would like to have been at this event because it was such a huge step in the science "community". It would have been cool to be at the first successful attempt at cloning an adult mammal. • Dolly the Sheep Succesfully Cloned

    Dolly the Sheep Succesfully Cloned
Dolly the sheep was a female domestic sheep, and the first mammal cloned from an adult somatic cell, using nuclear transfer. She was cloned by Ian Wilmut, Keith Campbell and colleagues at the Roslin Institute, part of the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and the biotechnology company PPL Therapeutics. Dolly lived from July 5,1996 to February 14 2003. Dolly passed away because of lung disease 5 months before her 7th birthday.

that a mammal was successfully cloned from an adult. This event showed us how far science has advanced over the years, even if it was just a cloned sheep, it was still a big milestone.
Cloning an adult mammal defied the belief of how far science could go during 1996. The success led to the desire and predictions that diseases could be prevented, lost children could be reborn, and humans could be cloned. Today, the impact of cloning on basic science has surpassed expectations.

...bigger. People were excited about the phone because it was a touchscreen, and not a flip-phone, or one with only keys.
This iPhone made it possible to have most of the phones that there are today. Most phone companies started because they figured that if Steve Jobs can make all of this money(He currently owns $1.2 billion worth of Apple stock and holds $4.4 billion worth of Walt Disney Co. stock, which he received when he sold Pixar Animation Studios to Disney in 2006.), that they can too.

How will you change the world?
For instance, I'm sure if you've had a betta or a gold fish, you put it in a little tiny glass bowl. This is not good for the fish. Their tank needs to be about 80 degrees fahrenheit, but if you have no heater in the tank, the water is at whatever temperature the room is. It is important to me to change the world in this way because I love animals. I have a turtle, I am getting a crested gecko, have 3 dogs, 3 cats, and take care of my sister's guinea pig and rabbit.

It is very important to me to make sure that every animal is properly cared, They don't have a voice so someone needs to speak for them.
