    John Wilkes Booth assassinates President Abraham Lincoln Booth jumps off the President's box to the stage, where he breaks his leg. He flees to an alley by the stage door where his horse is being held. Booth flees to Maryland fooling the guards. Booth travels to Marry Surratt boarding house where he meets up with David Herold and picks up guns and equipment they had stored there.
  • Day 1

    Day 1
    Booth and Herold traveld together south and stop at the home of Dr. Samuel Mudd who was going to participate in the kidnapping of president lincoln. There he recived treatment for his broken leg which Dr. Mudd set in place. there he offerd the pair a place to rest in his house.
  • Day 2

    Day 2
    Booth and Herold traveled to Captain Samuel Cox home. He invited them in and decided to help them. He told booth only one man could get them safly across the river that was Thomas Jones. Scince it was to dangerous for them to remain in Captian Cox's house instead they would hide away in the wooded pine thicket some distance away. Booth and Herold met Thomas Jones there he tells both of them that he would help them cross the Potomac River but certain conditions needed to cross the river.
  • Day 3

    Thomas Jones visited Booth and Herold. He then fed them scince there horse could be spoted Jones told Herold to shoot them and let them be sink in a quicksand pit. They returned to the thicket there they laied down for another night.
  • Day 4

    Day 4
    Jone visits booth and Herold handing them food and a newspapper and quiqkly left both of them alone. He read the newspappers hev was given and was confused they all depicted him as a murder and villian.

    Booth and Herold stay another day in the woods by themselves.

    Day 6
    That day he saw calvary leaving saying they had spotted the futiges in another county. Jones heads to see Booth and Herold the three make their way to Jones house and gather food for their trip. He gave them his boat and they set off across the Potomac River but they were heading in the wrong direction.
  • Day 7

    Day 7
    Booth and Herold landed further north in Maryland where Herold had freinds they slept over and recived food and information. The place they landed was impossible to cross due to the geography of the land so booth would have to wait to cross making them have to hide in the low-lying wet-lands. they spend the day hiding in Maryland.
  • Day 8

    That night they ride across the Potomac torward Virgina they landed and fell asleep that night.

    They contact a former Confederate agent Mrs.Queensberry half an hour away scince booths injured leg Herold is forced to go by himself to visit him. He reached her and she got him and booth horses making them able to travl south at a quicker pace. They head to Dr. Sturats house but our turned down only receving food not medical treatment. They turned to a neighbor of Sturats a man of color. booth had to threten them for a olace to stay with that a team of horses.
  • Day 10

    Day 10
    Booth paid for a wagon, team and driver. They then arived at Port Conowayb where they stopped and got water and food. A fisherman gave them a ride across the river along with some Confederate soliders who learned of their idenity. They made their way to a home on Locust Hill owned by Richard H. Garrett looking for a place to spend the night. The owner did take them in where they spent the night.
  • Day 11

    Day 11
    Booth slept in and talked with the Garrett children. Booth asks the family for a map of virgina when he is about to leave he sees David Herold there they ask to stay an extra day but the Garretts son aroused with suspicion turns him down. Riders arrive and booth and herold flee into the woods. the garretts scared for themselves relunctanly offer them a room for another night they turn that down so he gives them a room in the tobbacco barn.What booth and Herold dont know is he locked the door.
  • Death

    Death
    So they decide to burn the barn. Booth hearing this tries to have them fight on open ground. Wanting to die with honor and not paraded in front of people he decided to die in the flames. Boston Corbett peeks in and sees Booth and shoots through and kills John Wilkes Booth. The 12 day Man hunt for Him had ended with one fatal shot.
  • Day 12

    Day 12
    At 12 in the morning the new york calvary arrive and surrond the area. Booth and Herold try to escape but realize the Garretts had locked the door they try to escape but or nor not strong enough to break out. Surronding the barn the calvary by gunpoint sends Richard Garrett in to get John Wilkes Booth weapons while in Booth threatens to shoot him and he runs out. They try sending a unarmed person in it dosnt work. they ask them to surrender but he stalls while Herold gives himself up.
