Your toddler may stand alone without support for a short time or cruise along holding the furniture for support. If they have not been able to stand alone yet they may crawl forward or backward. Now they are able to climb up the stairs on hands and knees.

Your toddler is starting to notice the actions of other children and adults. They are in the mimicing stage, where they will mimic all the actions you do. There will be new interests in picture books and new textures.

Your toddler will be able to walk fast or run stiffly. They will be able to walk into a ball but not quite kick it yet. Your toddler will be able to improve their throwing motion and squat down in a standing position.

Your toddler will be able to memorize where an object is but has a short attention span. They will try to imitate the way parents use objects and enjoy working with shapes on foam bond.

Your toddler will be able to run without help but walk up and down the stairs with help. They can sit on the floor from standing position easily.

Your toddler can remember objects without seeing them and go get them from a room when asked. They will be interested in tiny things such as bugs. Your toddler will lik to make marks on paper with a big crayon.

Your toddler will be able to bounce and sway in simple dancing movements. They will be able to bounce with both feet on the floor. They will also show increased coordination and smoother hand and finger movements.

Your toddler will be curious about objects in enviroment and will now follow simple directions. They will enjoy form boards and puzzles.

Your toddler will improve their motor skills. Their torso will lengthen and the baby fat begins to dissapear causing their large motor skills to improve. While running they may collide with other people cause they are unable to measure sudden stops.

Your toddler will become interested in more children shows and will enjoy playing house. Encourage them to play a lot because that will stimulate intellectual development and social development.

Your toddler will be able to classify objects into general categories. They can now memorize and follow three step commands. Also, they can recognize themselve in photographs.

Your toddler will move really quickly doing physical activites. They will like to be in constant motion, and can go up the stairs by alternating their feet.
