    The declaration of idependence was drafted by Thomas Jefferson in June 1776. This one of the most important documents The United States has. In this document Jefferson expressed the way most Americans were feeling.

    This was when Louis and Clark went serching for the all water route to the pacific. They went with a girl named Sacagawea and she had a baby that saved their life. They also had a lot of findings of plants and animals.

    California Gold Rush

    The California Gold Rush was when a whole bunch of people whent to CA and looked for gold. This made a whole bunch of people move west word. This was the only time when people could just go and pick up gold. Many people risked their lives on this long journey just for some gold.
  • Abraham Lincoln's Assasssination

    Abraham Lincoln's Assasssination
    Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on April 15th, 1865. John Wilkes Booth shot him in Fords Theater. Lincoln died the next day in a house across the street.
  • The Compromise of 1877

    The Compromise 1877 was the day where reconstruction was over. The North and the south made a comprimise that the North would get their president and the south would get the troops taken out of the South. The South also got money for construction and a lot more.

    This is where the President signed that the indians could have their own land and citizenship if they accepted the land. This also gave the government access to their land.

    The consitution was signed on september 17th 1887. THe consitution was signed by 38 out of the 41 present at the convention.

    The transcontinental railroad was finished in 1896. Now the west and east are connected.

    This march was led by martin luther king jr. Who was put in jail for stating his beliefs peacefully. 1/4 of a million people showed up to march for the rights for equallity.
  • Apollo 11 landing on the moon!

    On July 16 1969 Apollo 11 landed on the moon puting us ahead in the great space race. Armstong landed on the moon first which means he was the first human ever to step foot on the moon.

    My name is Julia Milligan. I was born on July 30th 2001 in the women and babies hospital. I live with my mom, dad, and two sisters. Some of my interests are field hockey, music, and running.
  • The Terrorist Attack of 9/11

    On september 11th 2001 two air planes were traken over by terrorists and crashed into the twin towers. THey also took over many other planes.
