Italy was hit very hard by the Great Depression, industry's became very close to failure they were bought out by the banks in bail out. And the assests used to fund the purchases were useless. This led them to financial crisis.

When Italy joined WW2 they soon found out that their military was no match next to other countries. Due to this Italy suffered many defeats and Mussolini's population within Italy began to drop.

Mussolini won respect with many of the European nations, this included Germany. Mussolini decided Italy would become allies with Natzi Germany. After this Italy went into WW2.

Near the end of the war the King began to question Mussolini's actions and he replaced him as Prime Minister and Italy switched from Germanys side to Britains.
