According to NYTimes, "attackers burned both Sunni and Shiite homes in a neighborhood of Muqdadiya, a city of about 200,000 in Diyala Province." Importance: ISIS is now on people's radar, they have made on of their first moves. The public is now paying attention to them. -

Importance: ISIS is making a statement. They are getting their message out for all the world to hear. It strikes fear into some and others rage. ISIS can no longer be ignored. -
ISIS Attacks Paris

Description: On the night of November the 13th, ISIS attacked Paris, France in a series of coordinated terrorist assaults. Carried out by seven perpetrators with 130 victims.
Importance: Europe now feels extremely threatened. With ISIS very close to their borders, these countries have started to go on the offensive.
