Tom tries to evade the spies becuase he doesn't want them to know about the Moniter ironclad he is working on.

Tom's friends ambush the confederate spies. However they can not hold off the spies for long

One of Toms friends tells his dad who is a police officer puts the copperheads in jail. Also Tom is asked to go on the Monitor by the captain.

After lots of work on the ship the moniter finally sets to see. Tom says goodbye to his family and goes on the Moniter

While at sea the moniter gets cuaght in a nasty storm. Since the ironclad is so flat it is at risk to the high waves

The Monitor arrives at the union blackade only to see many of the ships recked. only one ship is undamaged.

The Merrimac arrives and a fierce battle between the two ironclads begins.

The Monitor defeats the Merrimac and Tom returns home. Tom continues to fight for the union.
