  • Baseball Cleats invented

    The first pair of baseball cleats were invented in 1840 by a man name Paul Butler. Paul was a ball player as well, but he wanted an edge, so he made the cleats. He made cleats by strapping spikes to soft leather shoes, to attemp to achieve this edge, and what he discovered changed sports, and baseball forever. Cleats since have changed however. Instead of there being one pair of cleats for all fields, there are now many different ones; each to meet a different specification of field.

    Shoulder pads were invented in 1906 by Abraham Schemel. They were invented to save football form being banned in the 1900s. Football was almost banned because of the number of severe injuries that kept happening. The shoulder pads were the perfect solution because they absorbed shock, and helped prevent injuries.

    The anouncers were Ray Scott and Jack Whitaker. It was a baseball broadcast. There are still sports radio broadcasts today.

    no one knows who invented the first skateboard but in the early 1970's Frank Nasworthy made a new type of skateboard that is still used today by many pro riders

    The compant Ampex invented video tape in 1950 and theat led to the invention of the instant replay. The instant replay helps us make calls in sports.
  • Nike was founded

    Phil Knight invented Nike and named it after the Greek god of victory. Today Nike is one of the most popular sports brand and sells aal things sports.
  • Gatorade was invented

    Gatorade was invented in 1965 by the Flordia Gators team physician. The idea behind Gatorade was to give the Gators an edge in football games against their rivals. It turned out that Gatorade turned into a massive drink providing company for teams every where.
  • Revolution football helmet was invented

    Riddell invented the first revolution football helmet and it was proved in high school football that if you wear the Riddell football helmet you are 31% less likely to get a head injury.
