    In 1763 Robert Fulton invented the steamboat. This helped with transportation. Steamboat helped transport good to other places. It was a lot easier to transport goods on water than it was on land.

    Eli Whitney
    In 1793 Eli Whotney invented the cotton gid. This invention automated the seed seperation process. The cotton gid was a great invention. This helped seperate the seed form the cotton. It was important because it made slavery much more economically viable. By reinforcing the slave based economy of the South it played a role in maintaining the separateness of the South as a region and thus ultimately in the South leaving the Union and precipitating the Civil War.

    Michael Faraday
    In 1831 Michael Faraday invented electric motors. This helped with transportation.Louis Daguerre made an important discovery by accident. In 1835, he put an exposed plate in his chemical cupboard, and some days later found, to his surprise, that the latent image had developed. Daguerre eventually concluded that this was due to the presence of mercury vapour from a broken thermometer.

    Samuel Morse
    1831 Samuel Morse invented electric telegraphs. It was Samuel Morse that successfully exploited the electromagnet and bettered Joseph Henry's invention. Morse made sketches of a magnetized magnet. Morse invented a telegraph system that was a practical and commercial success.

    in 1833 Louis Daguerre invented photography. This helped capture images.
  • Gottlieb Daimler

    Gottlieb Daimler
    In 1885 Daimler invented the motorcycle. This helped with transportaion. Gottlieb Daimler invented the first gas-engined motorcycle in 1885, which was an engine attached to a wooden bike.
  • Rudolf Diesel

    Rudolf Diesel
    In 1894 Rudolf Diesel invented diselenaine. This utalized the terminaloil. The diesel engines of today are refined and improved versions of Rudolf Diesel's original concept. They are often used in submarines, ships, locomotives, and large trucks and in electric generating plants.

    Wright Brothers
    In 1903 the Wright Brothers invented the airplane. This helped with transportaion. They studied brids flying and how there winds would move and curve to turn. This helped them create the air plane.
