Timeline 1
Tris, Four, Caleb and Peter are on the run from Erudite. After the ending in the first book where Jeanine, the leader of Erudite blamed them for attacking and killing everyone in Abnegation. They find their way to the Amity compound. -
Timeline 2
After hiding a few days in the Amity compound Tris and Peter had an argument and started a fight. While talking to the leader of Amity, Erudite raid the compound searching for Divergents, that is people that fits in all five fractions. They are looked at as dangerous. -
Timeline 3
Tris is a divergents and they have to run, they decide that one of them have to split up as a distraction. Peter distracts them so the others can run to the woods. After an intense run through the woods while getting shooted at, they jump on a train passing by. -
Timeliine 4
On the train they meet a bunch of fractionless, people that have no abilities to be in any of the five fractions. They demanded them to leave the train but they can´t, After fighting for the train, Tris, Four and Caleb have to give up. But when Four says his real name they stop, after all they actually were looking for him. -
Timeline 5
The fractionless take them to their compound, where Four´s mother is. She faked her death when he was only six years old to get away from his father who was crazy. They haven´t talked ever since, not before she tried to contact him one year ago. -
Timeline 6
Four´s mother says the rest of dauntless are hiding at the Candor compound. On the way to the compound Caleb decides to split up from Tris and Four. Leaving them to find the other members of dauntless. -
Timeline 7
Candor took them to court and used a truth serum so there was no way they could lie. Candor found out dauntless weren´t responsible for the attack against Abnegation. But Tris also revolved that she killed her friends boyfriend, Will. -
Timeline 8
Erudite attacked the compound when they found out there was Divergents there, because they are the only people capable of opening the box with a message from the ones that lived before the walls were set up. -
Timeline 9
They took the strongest of the Divergents and was about to leave when Four and the others from Dauntless attacked them and killed their army leader Eric. -
Timeline 10
They returned to the fractionless compound, but Erudite got a few of them. They put a serum in them that can make them simulate what they will do and say. They made them stand on top of a clip ready to jump. They said, "if Tris don´t turn herself in we will kill more people". And then they jumped. -
Timeline 11
Tris decides to leave in the middle of the night so Four can´t stop her. She won´t let anybody else die because of her. -
Timeline 12
Tris has to pass five tests to open the box. One from each fraction. -
Timeline 13
Tris passes the test of Amity by forgiving her friend Peter for treason and the test of Dauntless by saving her mother in the simulations. -
Timeline 14
In the last test she died, or actually not. Peter shot her with a serum so she would seem dead in 15 minutes. Perfect timing so Peter could get her to Four who was captured. They knocked out two guards and the rest of Dauntless came to help them. -
Timeline 15
Tris decided that she had to open the box, because her mother must have hidden it for a reason. The message inside was from people outside the wall. They thought everyone outside was dead, but actually they were put inside of the walls to restore humanity, and the ones to do it was the Divergents.
