    This was a new project to convert indigenous people to western culture. Christain missionary schools started to be built around this time.

    This war has been fought in Europe, India, and America. This war occured because france and britain wanted specific land in Canada.

    The treaty of Paris takes place. The treaty of paris is a treaty that helped divide up land and territories for the countries involved (France Britain, and Spain) This helped end the war and solve all conflicts.
  • Destruction of Bisons

    Due to habitat loss, the bison's population declined drastically and had serious effects on indigenous peoples in Canada. The indigenous relied on bisons as a source of food, to provide clothes, tools, etc. Because they had no support form bisons, they were vulnerable.

    This was a bill passed in order to strip away indigenous culture. for example, if you were indigenous you would have to change your original name to a Christian name, and would only be enfranchised (allowed right to vote) if you were iterate in english or french. If you were enfranchised that means that you are no longer indegnous.
