The wall that divided Germany in East Germany and West Germany fell during the night of the 9th of November, when all the German citizens started destroying the wall with hammers, sticks and whatever they found. This put end to a wall of 155 km long and 3.5 meters high. It got as a result around 200 or more deaths. -
Dissolution of the Soviet Union

Creation of the European Union
This day the Treaty of Maastricht was finally signed, and as a result it was crated the European Union. It policies aim to ensure the free movement of people, goods, services and capital within the internal market. There were 18 member states that belong to this political and economical union. -
Death of Diana, Princess of Wales
She died as a result of a serie of critical injuries caused by a car crash in "Pont del' Alma" a tunnel in Paris, France. This event was very important because she was considered the most loved princess of the world. As a result of this event the next days of her date the suicide rate increased a 17% in England and cases of deliberate self-harm also increased to 44.3% -
Euro Went Into Circulation
That date the members of the European Union started to use the EURO (€) as their official currency. Several countries started to use it as: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Netherlands, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malt, Monaco, Portugal, San Marine, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain and Vatican City. Nowadays other counties also use this currency. However countries like UK, Sweden, Poland and Hungary do not want to use it. -
Madrid Train Bombings
It was a serie of terrorist attacks in the trains near to Madrid, Spain. It consisted on 10 explosions almost at the same time in four trains between 7:36 and 7:40 AM. There were 192 deaths and 2057 people injured. the police stablished that it was a jihadist attack made by Al-Qaeda, a terrorist cell. -
Resignation of Pope Benedict XVI
Benedict XVI was the third Pope that resigned to his charge, coming after Gregory XII in 1415 and Celestine V in 1294. Of German nationality, he was the "Theologian Pope", considered like an intellectual and a great connoisseur of the dogma. His principal reason was his declining health due to his advanced age. -
Abdication of Juan Carlos I of Spain
His abdication was announced in July 2nd but it was official the 19th when it was public his official abdication of his charge as King of Spain. It was the seventh time in history a king of Spain left his charge. As a result of this event Felipe VI was crowned as the new and actual king of Spain. -

The first case of Ebola in the Europe was recorded on Spain after the infection of a medical volunteer that contracted the virus on Africa. Nowadays the virus has killed 11.300 people and hopefully a cure has been developed on the United States. -
