    French clonists move into African territory and search for areas to expand their country
  • The reason

    Africa was looked upon as a large continent with many precious fossil fuels and othe valuable materials. That is the reason that the French, who at the time were one of Europes most powerful countries.

    Europe was keen on taking complete rule over these countries because of their savage lust for power. This angered the natives and created an outrage of what seemed to be endless battles between French Malitia and Tribal elders and groups having origin in Algeria. Often France won due to their advantage of guns

    The French have now gained a large portion of Algeria's government due to having advanced weapons, versus the weopons from the Africans. More than a sixth of these natives have been killed
  • Connections

    The Flatters Expedtion was attempted to connect the Algerian State with Central Africa and was a group of Algerians who had been enslaved by the French to build a railroad. The team was already second gessing the mission when a group of men in search of water was ambushed by Algerian rebels.

    The fight to reclaim whatever independence Algeria had before, hundreds more attempts to overthrow the French colonists resulted in countless bloodbaths on both sides of the dueling forces.

    the rise of ww1 spings new beginings for both the fench and the algerians as new possibilities and dangers are at bay. The constant threat of win or loss for most of europe was a key factor in many of Frances actions in Africa. This war created a period of withdrawal for conflict between the two.

    After the war, many of the former algerian tribesmen or natives who did help the french were given french citezenships and were provided basic needs but wer in some cases even closer to the government in a sence that the less freedom they had, well now they have even less. Now that the war was over, things seemed to slow down for france as the fight for land in algeria did too. this gave the people more of a voice and signs of a revolution were visible

    Now, algeria has gained its independence from France due to an astounding 91% of votes for yes and th rest were against. Due to the final realization that over time, as europe advanced, it was time for france to go home and move on with their neghbors and leave algeria alone

    algeria is almost 4 times the size of texas and has a substancially stable goverment. peace was ensured during the gain of independence and proven over time
