    The long term effects were the Indonesian economy fell more under the control of the Dutch, and almost British. These are the same today
  • Australia

    Long term effects were exported a vast amount of capital to its colonies in Australia's which is largely invested in land, banking, and insurance. Australia remains steadily following in it's colonial footsteps to this day.
  • New Zealand

    The erosion or traditional practices, and the loss of cultural identity and the large-scale confiscations were long term effects. This is still an issue in New Zealand.
  • China

    The long term consequences were pollution, over population and worker abuse. The culture of political legacy is still showing today.
  • India

    India's independence was given to british powers. Textiles in India were restricted, remants of colonization and western imperialism remain in 2023 still.
  • Egypt

    Long term consequences were loss of culture, westernisation, continued low level of education and or health care system. Egypt is still impacted by westernisation today.
  • Phillipines

    They were left without a strong leader and suffered economically which was the long term consequence. This is still a problem today.

    Some long term effects were, most of the indigenous population was soon taken out, today cuba has utilized military force, economic coercion and paternalistic attitudes to substitute American for Spanish hegemony.

    Long term effects were the unfair labor practices, structural racism, and forced resettlement. These still pop up today.

    The depletion of natural resources and the severe mistreatment of the residents were long last effects. They are still present today.
  • Austria

    The long lasting effects were famine and epidemics. They still have these problems today.
  • Sudan

    The long term consequences were unsustainable power structures between the north and south. They still affect Sudan today.
  • Malaysia

    Colonial taxes and were forced to shift from subsistence to cash-crop farming. These are still in effect today.
  • Vietnam

    Long term consequences were natural resources were exploited, it's people were treated with disdain. These stay the same today.
