World War III
The world goes into a state of war with almost every country fighting. Finally Russia decides to start firing it's nukes which make every other country fire there Nukes in retaliation. This ends modern civilization and bring the world population down to about 10 million people. All of which could either afford bunkers or didn't live close enough to where the Nukes hit to get killed by the explosions or radiation. -
The Capital
Before the World War III the "elitist" the corporate leaders, politicians, military leaders, and the rich knew that there was a war coming and that it would most likely involve much of the world being destroyed by nukes. So they decided to make an unground bunker city in the heart of the Rocky Mountains that would have a large food supply and would be able to preserve the technology that would be destroyed in the war. -
The Capital 2
So just before the war started all of the elitist and their families along with knowledgeable people that knew how to rebuild all of the things that were lost where moved to the underground city. Ten years after the leaders in the city sent out people to see what happened. They came back saying the much of radiation had dispersed and there where still a lot of people alive. So the leaders in the city deiced to start a nation called Panem and have there city as the capital. -
The 13 Districts
The 13 Districts are formed 10 years after Panem was created to take a strain of the leaders at the Capital having to run so many things. Each district had a mayor to run everything and make sure the districts completed there quota. Many of these districts where basically enslaved into doing what the Capital wanted them to because the Capital had all the technology and weapons. Each district has a different function such as District 12 mines coal and District 11 is agriculture. -
The Capital Moves
Eventually the people in the Capital built up a new capital on top of one of the Rocky Mountains. -
Rebellion
After serving under the Capital for over 40 years now the Districts decided to lead a rebellion against the Capitol. -
End of the Rebellion
13 years after the Rebellion started hundreds of thousands were dead and District 13 was completely destroyed by the Capitol by toxic bombs to show the Capitols power to the other 12 Districts. -
The Hunger Games
A year after the end of the Rebellion, the Capital decided to make the Hunger Games as a punishment to the Districts for rebelling and to keep every ones minds including some of the people in the Capital off the fact that what the Capital was doing to the districts was really bad and should be put an end to. -
The 74th Hunger Games
The 74th Hunger Games the one Peeta and Katniss are taking part of right now in the book.
