The number of people that can be succesfully integrated
Since the population of Kozani is 70.000 people in total, in my opinion the ideal number of refugees that could be integrated is 125(25 families). I think that this is the maximum people that my town can welcome, as the accommodation is not that varied, and they can be more comfortable. If there were more places available we would be more than happy to have them in our town. -
Ways to help
Any vaccant buildings,or empty sports centres could be used as accomodation for the refugees. People who have the convinience to do so, can donate food or any old clothes they have, and toys for the kids. -
The kind of entreprenueurship that can be developed.
Employment opportunities can be created for the refugees, such as house cleaning, waitressing etc. Also farming, craftsment and pottery making. They could offer manpower in local businesses, hotels,restaurnats etc, and factories. Another idea could be to even start their own business if they have the convinience to. -
The ways school can help.
Refugee children should be sent to school and be provided with lessons in Greek. Schools can also organize bazaars to collect donations like food, clothing, toys etc. Also events can be held so children can get to know each other. Older students should be encouraged when they have free time to help younger kids with their homework if they are needed to. And of course students should be encouraged to form friendships with the refugees and integrate them into their groups. -
The benefits for local community.
The local community can be benefited from the refugees too. They will spend their money in local shops and offer manpower in local businesses or factories.They can also start businesses that employ locals, pay taxes and generate wealth.
