With home refrigerator's, people were able to stop using their ice box and didn't have to depend on ice being delivered for their food. Refrigerators allow people to keep food longer. -

With the electric iron there was no longer a need to heat the iron over the stove. The electric iron also meant there wouldn't be ash left on the clothing. This was a cleaner and more efficient way to iron clothes. -

This helped create a more sanitary and "greener" way to get rid of food scraps. -

The electric dishwasher was a faster way to wash dishes. The person who was washing the dishes didn't have to sit and turn a crank or wash the dishes by hand. They were now able to put the dishes into the machine, turn it on and do something else that needed to be done. -

This saved families money because the men didn't need to go out and pay to be shaved. This was also a faster shave than the razor blade. -

The electric dryer got clothes dryer than a spin dryer and also saved time by not having to hang up all the clothes to dry. -

This would save housewives time on cleaning cloth diapers and they would be able to change their baby and move on to their next task much faster. -

Credit cards made it easier for people to buy things that they need. Even if somebody doesn't have the money, they are able to charge it and then pay it back later. This is useful when you need something really important or you have an emergency, but can't afford it at the time. -

This answering machine made communication easier. Instead of having to call on the right day at the right time, anybody could call and leave a message so the person could call them back. This saves time for people because now we don't have to wait around for a phone call, we are able to do what we need to do and let the person leave a message. -

This pan made it much easier to clean the dishes. Other dishes would have to be scrubbed and soaked before they were completely clean. This pan saves time and cleans easily. -

The oven cleans itself so that people have time to do other things. The self cleaning oven made kitchen cleaning much easier. -

The personal computer made things like online bill pay available in the home. it created a more convent way for people to get work done and to find information. -

Online banking helps save time by not having to go to the bank to check your account. People are now able to check how much money they have and are able to make transfers between accounts. It made it much easier to keep track of expenses. -

The internet made more information available to people. People are able to use the internet to find services they need or answer questions they have. -

The bluetooth earpiece freed up both hands. This way people are able to talk on the phone and do other things that they need to be doing. -

GPS being available for public use made traveling much easier. This replaced the need of having to read a map and it takes up less space. -

Before online bill pay, checks would have to be sent into the place that was needing to be paid. Online bill pay can be done quick and in the comfort of your home. Checks/money no longer had to be driven or mailed to the place it was going which in turn saves time. -

The swiffer created a more efficient way to clean the floors instead of a mop and bucket of water. This made cleaning the floors much easier because it doesn't involve the prep that mopping does. -
