    The Crusades
    According to the Bible, Jerusalem is the Jew's promised land. The Christians in the early 1000's ce. thought otherwise, because their messiah Jesus Christ did major things there such as be resurrected from the dead they believed it was their land. The Christians through force over several battles and years claimed Jerusalem from the Jews. Even the Pope at the time encouraged Christians to fight saying if they did they would be promised a spot in Heaven.

    A knife maker by the name of John De Wettre in 1292 was the first known person in Europe to be executed for Sodomy.

    The Black Death is the biggest plague the world has ever seen. This plague killed between 1/3 and 1/4 of the population of Eurasia. At a time where nearly everyone was anti-Jew, people looked at them for the cause. They were tortured so bad, that they lied and admitted to being the cause. Most Jews said they sprinkled poison into a spring used by many. Even though this wasn't true, the torture was so harsh they were almost forced to come up with something to say.

    In a war where the main issue was equality for mainly African American slaves, you would think the side wanting equality would let anyone fight who believed in the cause. General Grant did not allow Jew's to fight for the north as he believed they had confederate views. However, President Lincoln later directs Grant to rescind the order and Jew's were now able to fight and granted equality within the army.
