    The Enlightenment
    the reason for why the enlightement began becasue every day people stopped believing in the churchs and instead started believeing in new beliefs of there own.   • First Fleet

    There were eleven ships in the First Fleet. They were all small ships that included two naval ships, six convict ships and three storeships for supplies. The ships were specially built for the long eight month voyage which had to carry prison chambers for the convicts, and also carry food and animals. Botney Bay was the first time the Britishs landed on Australia.

    Before Tasmania was announced as Tasmania is was known as Van Diemens Land. In 1803 Lieutentant John Bowen established a second british colony at Riston Cove. The worst convicts were sent here because they were considered beyond rehadilitation. Convicts that were sent here were chained up and forced to build roads and work on farms.
  • Victoria becomes a state

    Before Victoria was titeld Victoria it was known as Port Phillip District. In 1803 308 convicts, a party of marines and 17 free settlers. The marines were sent over to keep the convicts in order and the free settlers were to start to build buildings and plant croops.They were unsuccessful and set sail for Hobert in 1804.
