    Clay for Words
Communicative mediums go back as early as the Mesopotamia period, where people would use clay like we use a word doc. They would scratch pictures into damp clay and let it dry in the sun. This medium was for recording trades, listings of animals, and important officials. What’s also interesting about this is that it’s as early as 3000 B.C., and there was organization and purpose in communications.1

Single computer electronic mail originated in the 1960’s and went from being a message left on a PC, to being internet enabled, and then globally shared by the 1990’s. This development was a great proposition of public communication during its tmie.4

    Convergences become Pocket-Sized
Now in 2018, the internet fits in your pocket. Media has grown (shrunk?), gradually, to become smaller and more portable. All of the features of many devices invented over years, converged into one device small enough to fit in your pocket, purse, briefcase, or backpack. We no longer have to be face to face to hire an employee, be a freelance worker, or buy groceries.5
