Goerge Washington was against seperating into faction or seperate parties he said it would ruin America
James Madison thought seperate parties were probably necassery
Alexander Hamilton was also agianst political parties

Democratic-Republicans

For many years the Republicans were the major party.
The Democrats supported free trade.
Roosevelt is a very famous Democrat.

Some have dictators.
Britan has a two party system.

Plays a small role in politics.
Most people never heard of them.

Progressive

Republicans had a disput with the progressive party.
Progressives also called Bull Moose
They are a third party.
