    Three hundred people attend the first women's rights convention in Seneca Falls, New York. Among the attendees are Amelia Bloomer, Charlotte Woodward, and Frederick Douglas. Lucretia Mott's husband James presides. Stanton authors the Declaration of Sentiments, which sets the agenda for decades of women's activism. A larger meeting follows in Rochester.

    The civil war is occuring 1861-1865 women rights effort almost completely stopped cause women had to put things aside to help defend the country

    Many traveled to kansas to try to afitate for women suffrage but after many months and campaigning they sadly were defeated many people supported black people then women on getting rights

    14th amendment was passed saying former slaves gets rights to vote while it stated men which implies that women suffrage was exluded from the amendment

    Stanton and Anthony established the National Woman Suffrage Association only allowing females while Lucy Stone forms the American Woman Suffrage Association that allows men supportin the 15th amendment

    Women in the Washington territory are granted full voting rights

    President Wilson issues a statement supporting a federal amendment to grant woman's suffrage. He brought this to the senate but they disgreed more then 65% said no

    Senate finally passes the Nineteenth Amendment, and suffragists begin their ratification campaign.

    state legislatures ratify the Nineteenth Amendment on 26 August. American women win full voting rights.
