The increase of users in 2005 was very big. the # of users were 1,018 million, which means that 15.7 % of the population was using the internet at that time. The numbers are increasing all around the world, soon enough the whole world will be connected to the internet. -

The # of users in 2007 was 1,319 which is 20% of the world's population was using internet. -
