The United States were worried that the Soviet Union was advancing to much in their technology and because of this, it sparked new agencies such as NASA and ARPA to form. With America slowly realizing the threat of the Soviet Union, Agencies were tasked with the job to crate rockets, weapons and computers.

    Ray Tomlinson is credited in creating the email. Email at the time was simply sending a message from one computer to another. He also picked the @ symbol to indicate that a user was sending a message.

    The domain name system allowed users to type in something with words, which then converted it unto an IP address automatically.
