    The first ever computer was invented by Charles Babbage in 1822. He was credited with having the world’s first automatic digital computer. Babbage was an English mathematician and inventor. His model was the foundation of our modern computer systems. He worked on his model for 40 years and developed an analytical engine, which helped him design the first ever general-purpose computer.

    The first telephone ever invented dated back to 1876-1877. It was invented by both Alexander Graham Bell and Elisha Gray. The first telephone was huge compared to modern day, but still served an important role, as it was the only way of communication in the olden days. This telephone was comprised of a vibrating membrane and a closed and open circuit when wanting to speak with others. This was a game changer as it was the foundation of our modern telephone/home-line systems.

    The first VR headset was created in 1968 and was a game changer to the new world of virtual reality. It was called, “The sword of Damocles.” The founder of the first VR headset was Ivan Sutherland and his student Bob Sproull. It was very large and scary as it was incredibly heavy when placed across the face. The first VR headset was attached to a computer rather a camera.

    ARPANET stands for Advanced Research Project Agency Network and was the first experimental computer network of the Internet. ARPANET lays the foundation of all our understanding of the Internet and computer systems. This was first used in 1969 for academic and research purpose but later developed into modern Internet. ARPANET was created in October 29, 1969 and delivered its first "node-node" message to another computer.

    The Creeper Virus was the first ever foreign virus detected. Bob Thomas created it in 1971. It messed up multiple connected teletype computer systems. This virus displayed a message on the computer screens saying, “I’m the creeper, catch me if you can!” The creeper virus infected the computers by causing them to print anonymous files. Now we know the main reason behind viruses and their causes. We can use applications and install scanners to check the computers current state.

Microsoft corporation was founded in April 4, 1975, and the founders were Bill Gates and Paul G. Allen. Microsoft has many brands including office, windows and other servers such as Skype.

Photoshop was created in order to provide users with an easy solution for editing images. Many upgrades and improvements have been made since the release of the first photoshop editing software. Now Wi-Fi is continually being modified into faster and newer systems. Wi-Fi is very important as it connects computers, tablets and any other devices that use the Internet. Wi-Fi became very successful as it offered customers with a wireless connection for each of their devices.

    The first online WebCam was created in 1991 by Quentin Stafford-Fraser and Paul Jardetzky. The first WebCam was called the Trojan Room Coffee Pot. These inventors created the first ever WebCam to help students who study late at night keep an eye on the levels of coffee they drink. Although this first WebCam was very glitchy and slow to process it served its purpose. Later with the information that was found new technology was made only advancing the WebCam and its capabilities.

This device changed the world and people’s perspectives about technology as it widened everyone’s knowledge to greater and advanced things. The first smartphone was a prototype called “Angler”. It offered people minimal features but was still a working device.

PayPal was first introduced in December 1998 by founders Peter Thiel, Luke Nosek, etc. Although PayPal may not be an online bank it is a great digital and mobile source to make payment transactions securely.

    Music started first streaming on sites in September 1997. This was a major hit as the music industry skyrocketed after the world discovered it. Many artists became very popular which got founder, Shawn Fanning, thinking about a way for people to listen to music for free. Napster was the first free file sharing service that allowed people to share MP3 files with one another. This was illegal activity because of copyright issues and was later consulted in higher courts.

Although Wikipedia may not be a reliable source, as it can be user generated, it still contains some trustworthy information. Wikipedia is multi-lingual site and is the most comprehensive web page available to understand material.

The huge technology company that created Facebook is called Meta. Founder Mark Zuckerberg, says he created Meta as a way to “communicate with fellow students online.” Now Facebook is more than just communication with friends, but a major part of peoples lives.

The main purpose of YouTube is to share videos worldwide where users can watch, like, share, subscribe and upload their own videos, making its platform much larger.
