ARPA - First ARPANET project

Period: 1957 to 1962

The Department of Defense of the United States designs a reliable network that unites its data centers called ARPANET (ARPA Network). This network facilitated the efficient use of alternative routes, thus increasing the reliability in case of loss of connections

Packet switching - Arpanet Implementation

Period: 1964 to 1969

1. Network with a hybrid method when using the star and mesh topology, so that the data would travel when a route did not work. This technology was called "packet switching".
