Civil War in Denmark that began after the death of King Frederick I. Townspeople, peasants, and some of the nobility had favored the return of power of King Christian II who had been disposed of in 1523 after a conspiracy. There was a lot of rebellions and battles The popular uprising was suppressed and supporters were defeated by King Christian III with the help of Swedish aid.
