    The MITS Altiar 8800 was created by Ed Roberts. This was a kit that was sold, and people would then create it themselves at home. This cost $439 at launch, and sold thousands of units. This computer would inspire Steve Wozniak to make his own computer.

    The Apple ][ was the first easy-to-use computer intended for the home. This was made by Steve Wozniak, and sold over 50,000 units, helping making Apple the giant it is today.
  • Creation of the first "PC Clone"

    Clones are computers that are very similar to computers that already exist. The first of these clones was the Compaq Portable, which was compatible with all of IBM's software developed for their own computers.
