    Abacus
    Abacus
Known as the earliest calculating device, the abacus has wood frames and parallel rods with colored beads strung to it. Abacus is a Latin word meaning “table” or “tablet.” It is the oldest known calculating device in history that is still used today. Today it is designed with four decks and more beads attached.

    Telephone 1st Generation
    history of the telephone
In 1875, Alexander Graham Bell built the first telephone that transmitted electrically the human voice.
  • Albert Einstein - Inventor

    Albert Einstein - Inventor
Einstein Einstein finished high school and later graduated from ETH College with a degree in physics. On May 29th, 1919, a solar eclipse provides dramatic evidence that shows Albert’s Relativity theory correct. In 1921, he receives a Nobel Prize for his long tiring work on the photoelectric effect, first published in 1905. Sadly on April 18th, 1955, Albert Einstein died from a heart attack at the age of 76.
  • Light bulb 1st Generation

    Light bulb 1st Generation
lightbulb Inventor, Thomas Alva Edison, was born on February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio. He influenced modern life through some inventions such as the motion picture camera and the light bulb. Before 1879, when the light bulb was finished, Edison was neither the first nor the only person trying to come up with a good electric lamp. Many inventors tired and failed. Later, Edison died in 1931.
  • Herman Hollerith Electronic Tabulating Machine

    Herman Hollerith Electronic Tabulating Machine
    Herman Hollerith
Herman Hollerith was born in 1860, and sadly died in 1929. He designed machines that reduced time and physical work of labor. Hollerith's system was first tested on tabulating mortality statistics in late 1886. It was used to punch, read and sort machines.
  • Dr. Grace Murray Hopper

    Dr. Grace Murray Hopper
    Grace Hopper
Born in 1906, Grace Murray Hopper was changed the computer industry by developing the Bomarc system, known as the COBOL. Later in her life time, she designed a way for numbers and computer codes to be delivered faster and easier.

    The Atanasoff-Berry Computer (ABC)
ABC Being an early digital computer, it was believed to be built in England in 1943, while the ENIAC was built in the United States two years later.
  • ENIAC

    ENIAC
ENIAC The Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer, none as the ENIAC, was officially in use around 1944 and 1945. Though it was very huge and slow, it was known across the world as the first electric digital computer.
  • Vacuum Tubes Ist Generation of Computers

Vacuum Tubes Ist Generation of Computers
Tube First generation computers used vacuum tubes for mostly memory. Since this is the 1st generation, Since the tubes were big and very slow as compared to today. These tubes were mainly used for storage and memory.
  • Transistor

    Transistor
    Transistor
The transistor was created in 1947 by three American physicists. The three main qualities in a transistor are emitter, collector, and the base. These devices control and generate electrical signals.
  • Microwave 1st Generation

    Microwave 1st Generation
history of the microwave oven The microwave oven, which was marked in 1954, did not come about as a result of someone trying to find a better, faster way to cook. During World War II, two scientists invented a tube that sends and produces microwaves.
