    Democritus- 460 BC
Democritus, born 460 BC in Abdera, expanded the atomic theory by saying that space or void as they called it had an equal right as reality and should be considered existence. He considered the avoid to be a vacuum with an infinite amount of space in which an infinite amount of atoms travel through it making beings and matter.
