Texas Revolution
The Texas Revolution was fought from October 1835 to April 1836. This war was against the Texans and the Mexicans. The Mexicans thought about stopping the war to help with issues with their financial crisis, so they signed a peace treaty. The United States gave them money to help with their problems and went on with peace. -

California Gold Rush
The California Gold Rush started when a man found gold while digging in the dirt. The word got out quickly and soon, the gold rush started. California's population increased by 15 million to 100 million people during the gold rush. People from Chinse to Irish came west to join the rush. Prices on food and resources skyrocketed and caused many people to start getting their own resources instead of buying them. The Goldrush ended in 1855. -
