The Boston Tea Party was a political protest at Griffin's Wharf in Boston, Massachusetts. American colonists were frustrated and angry at Britain for imposing “taxation without representation,” they dumped 342 chests of tea, imported by the British East India Company into the harbor. -
The Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence was written by Thomas Jefferson and adopted by the Second Continental Congress. The goal was to get their independence and break away from England. This was an important document because that is how America became independent. -
The Louisiana purchase
The Louisiana Purchase was the gain of the territory of Louisiana by the United States from France in 1803. The purchase allowed people to use the Mississippi river to transport goods and make money. It doubled the size of the nation and that meant lots of land for the Americans. -
The Donner party
The Donner Party was a group of American pioneers who migrated to California in a wagon train from the Midwest. They got delayed and had to spend the winter snowbound in the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The people were so desperate to survive they resorted to cannibalisms and ate each other. -
Pearl Harbor
Pearl harbor was bombed my the Japanese. They aimed to destroy the Pacific Fleet and destroy morale in the U.S. Navy. They did this so we would not be able to fight back as Japanese forces began to advance. The attack killed 2,403 people. -
9/11
September 11th, or 9/11 were a series of terrorist attacks by the terrorist group Al-Qaeda against the United States. The terrorists flew two planes into the twin towers of the World Trade Center causing them to collapse a third plane crashed into the Pentagon, the fourth crashed into a field. These attacks are remembered and important because it caused the deaths of 2,996 people and impacted more. -
My birthday!
This was the day my mom gave birth to me. This is also the day I turn one year older every year. I am currently 13 soon to be 14. -
1st iPhone
The first iPhone was released on June 29, 2007. It was created by Apple that was created by Steve Jobs. Apple continues to create more and improved iPhones every year with new up-to-date tech. I personally love my iPhone ad use it everyday. The first iPhone was the iPhone 2G. The first iPhone had a 3.5-inch screen with 320 x 480 pixel resolution.
