The Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776, It was written by Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, John Adams and, Robert R Livingston. It was written because those people felt that we needed freedom and everybody else in all thirteen real-time colonies agreed with them and supported them. Fifty six men signed The Declaration of Independence, with an unknown date to some signatures. -

The Louisiana Purchase was made by Thomas Jefferson, the president at that time. He wanted to gain control over the New Orleans Port and The Mississippi River. He bought the entire Louisiana Territory for 15,000,000 dollars. He then hired explorers to find things throughout that western area of the united states. -

The battle of Alamo was a historic event that lead to the death of many people. Mexico and Texas were fighting for their own reasons. Following a 13-day siege, Mexican troops under President General Antonio López de Santa Anna launched an assault on the Alamo Mission near San Antonio de Béxar which is now Texas, United States, killing all of the Texian defenders. -
