  • The Declaration of Independence

    The Declaration of Independence
    The Deceleration of Independence is a contract that let colonies be independent from Great Britain. Before there were separated colonies, Great Britain held them all. This contract was to establish separating the colonies from Great Britain from it's hold. John Hancock was the first to sign the contract, followed by many more supporters in this. This is important because if the Deceleration of Independence wasn't signed, we wouldn't have our own colonies and we would be held by Great Britain.
  • Lewis and Clark's journey to the West.

    Lewis and Clark's journey to the West.
    Lewis and Clark were hired to go on a journey to look for many things. One thing is the route to the Pacific Ocean. Another reason is finding where the Missouri River starts. On the other hand, one of their most surprising discoveries were buffalo.
  • The Alamo.

    On February 23rd, 1836, a Mexican force was led by General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. The battle of Alamo for independence was on March 1836. It was between the Texans and the Mexican army, and the Texans were opposed by the Mexican Army.
  • The Attack on Fort Sumter

    The Attack on Fort Sumter
    Fort Sumter is on an island of Charleston's Harbor. Confederates attacked the fort, making it the beginning of this Civil War. Many Americans thought it would've been a short and easy war to win, but it was actually very hard. Fort Sumter was loosing supplies and it all depended on Lincoln. He had a hard time decididing to either send the supplies (which would risk less supplies for the war) or surrender to the Rebels. This is important, because this was the beginning of the worst war.

    On June 25 in year 1950, the Korean War was the first act to the Cold War. North Korea Invaded South Korea, and South Korea got help from America. . The Korean war stated with having 75,000 soldiers from North Korea.This event is important, because many people had died and we need to honor them.
  • The Supreme Case: Brown v The Board of Education

    The Supreme Case: Brown v The Board of Education
    This event was about African Americans stepping up to having their own rights (The Civil Rights Bill). This was about giving African Americans their rights, being equal to others. If this never happened, any African Americans wouldn't have their rights and wouldn't be going to school with others. This is important because many African Americans wouldn't be here today at school, work, or have any rights.
  • Vietnam War

    The Vietnam war was 60 years after WW1 and WW2 ended. This was one deadly event during the Cold War that happened in Vietnam. This stayed on for 6 years of WW2. This event is the Second Indochina war against the Americans. This is important because the war established peace rallies.
  • Martin Luther King Jr.

    Martin Luther King Jr.
    Martin was an activist as a leader of the African American civil rights Movement. He spoke for the African Americans with no violence. His speech inspired others to change their minds. He is important because he was a speaker of non violent protests in his speech.
  • Apollo 11

    Apollo 11
    Apollo 11 is about when humans first walked on the moon. Russia and America helped each other to reach the moon on July 20th of 1969. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the first to walk on the moon This improvement in history is important because it is a big step that was accomplished that no other would do.
  • Death of Elvis

    Death of Elvis
    Elvis died from a heart attack. Many people think it was a overdose or he already had a bad heart condition. Also people think the heart attack is a lie and that he has another reason behind his death. Elvis was famous for singing. This is very important, because his death affected many people and that he is a legendary singer back then.
  • September 11th, 2001

    September 11th, 2001
    There were Terrorists that took four airliners and used them as weapons in Washington DC. The World Trade Center was impaled with the airplane that crashed into them, making them crumble to the ground and burn. Another airplane was flown into the Pentagon. The fourth hijacked airplane was sent into Pennsylvania's field. This is important, because many innocent lives have been killed which is very traumatizing and sad for those who lost their loved ones.
