    On July 4th, 1676, a group of people including Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Roger Livingston, and Thomas Jefferson all helped to wright The Declaration of Independence.The signing of the Declaration of Independence was a very important day because we won our freedom from England.

    This is a machine that cleans cotton. This day was important because it was a simpiler tool that cleaned cotton much faster then cleaning them by hand. (Mcdougal Littell, 373)

    The Louisiana Purchase was a purchase of land that went for $15 million- 3 cents an acre. Why this day is important is because it doubled the size of the nation. (McDougal Littell, 347)

    Meriweather Lewis And William Clark set out for an expidition in search for land and the Mississippi river. Why this is important is it helped double the size of the nation. (McDougal Littell ,345)

    In October, 1835, Mexican soldiers marched into the town of Gonzales. They were trying to get a cannon. They didnt get that cannon. The Texans wanted their freemdom from the Mexicans. This day is important because the Texans were fighting for their freedom. (McDougal Littell, 429)

    A Mexican unit attacked an American patrol. The congree declared war three days later. The mexican war began. This day is important because we won this war and got California and Texas. (McDougal Littell, 434-435)

    On January 24, 1848 a carpenter named James Marshall made and improtant discovery. People came from all over and moved west in search for gold. This day is important because it was one of the biggest migrations of people moving west.

    The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in Hawaii. More then 2400 Americans were killed during the booming. This day is imortant because the USA entered Wolrd War 2.

    They were arguing about whether or not to let African Americans go to school with the white people. This day is important because it opened the door to many other challenges to segergation in public places.

    On this day Martin Luther King Jr. stood in front of more then 200,000 people and stood up for his rights. This day is important because Americam stoped segergation all because of Martin Luther King Jr.

    Elvis died because of a heart attack, on August 17, 1977. This is important is because he was a musical outline to many.

    The day that I magnificently entered the world for the first time. It was a gret Monday to be born. My parents ere very blessed to have a baby girl. I was their first child.

    On September 11, 2001, in New York City hijakers flew sir planes into the twin towers. About 2,500 people died on that day. This day is important because it helped us connect and grow closer together as a nation.
