    The Declaration of Independance was written by Thomas Jefferson in 1776. It was written to declare independance for our country. Now all people are created eaqual.
  • Louisiana Purchase

    Louisiana Purchase
    The Louisiana Purchase was made by Thomas Jefferson. Nipoleon, from France, sold him the whole Louisiana Territory. It cost ed about $15 million (about 3 cents an acer). This was important because after the purchase was made, the United States land doubled in size and that is what the Americans wanted, more land. (Video Notes)
  • The Lewis and Clark Journey West

    The Lewis and Clark Journey West
    Thomas Jefferson hired Lewis and Clark to explore The Louisiana terrtory. Lewis was an expert explorer who loved to find new things in nature. Clark was an axpert mapmaker who made a new and accurate map of the new uncharted land.Together they went along the Mississippi River to find a water Passage to the Pacific. This was important beause it helped people get to the Pacific Ocean to sell and trade their goods for money and food to survive. (Video Notes)
  • The Steamboat (Robert Fulton)

    The Steamboat (Robert Fulton)
    Farmers who wanted to go round trip 300 miles down- stream and back to sell their goods, so they built little wodden rafts to go up. When they got where they wanted to go, they had to take apart their rafts and wa;lk 150 miles back because their rafts would not go up stream. Then, Robert Fulton bulit the Steamboat that helped farmers travel to and from their destination. This was important because it helped transport the farmers goods so they van sell them.

  • The Texas Revolution

    The Texas Revolution
    The Texas Revolution happened when a whole bunch of Americans moved to Texas because of the no tax law. Then later Texas changed their law and said there are now taxes. That is when the Americans started to revolt against the Texans. This was important because it shows how the Americans wanted freedom accross the land.

    The Meican American War
    The Mexican American war started when the Mexicans crossed over the American Territory and shed blood on the American soil. The Americans were really mad about this. Then later a war broke out and the Americans won and gained the western part of what is the United States today. This was important because it shows how the Americans fought back for what was theirs (the land).

  • The Donner Party

    The Donner Party
    The Donner Party was a group of people who went on a "shortcut" to get through accross the land. Instead their plans made them gain time and distabnce for the trip. Also they got stuck in a huge snow storm that left 5 feet of snow. Some people soon started to die. Their trip would now take them months to complete. Three weeks into it, they ate all of their food, so then they turned to canobolism. This was important because it shows that if you think something is right, don't always do it.(video)
  • The California Gold Rush

    The California Gold Rush
    Americans started to move to California to find better land and more jobs. Insted, they went and found gold. For many, many years people from America, Ireland, China, and Mexico were coming to California lokking for gold. The Military Governor said that they have enough gold to pay for the war with Mexico and a hundred times over. This was important because it explains how the gold rush helped the people all over the world.

    Attack on Fort Sumter
    Fort sumter was attacked by the Confeterates which started the Civil War. The Confeterate troops brought in big heavy guns. A witness wrote that the firstshots brought "every soldier in the harbor to his knees, every man, woman, and childin the city of Charleton from their beds!" (U.S. History Textbook)

    First Appearance of Batman
    Bruce Wayne is the person who plays the character of batman. Batman originally came out in Detective Comics. Soon after he came out, Batman became so popular that in 1940 he had his own comic book.

    Supreme Court case: Brown VS. Board of Education
    This cases went through five other courts before it got to the Supreme Court. This case happened to end seggrigation of puplic schools.

    Spider man beats batman! When Spider man's first comic came put it brought in almost $1.5 million. His first appearance was in the comic book called Amazing Fantasy. He is played by Perter Parker.
  • Death of Elvis Presley

    Death of Elvis Presley
    Elvis Presley's death was very surprising to his family and friends. A DNA test states that he had a genetic heart muscle disease called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. The doctors said he suffered symtoms of of the condition in his last few years. that includes an irregular heartbeat, fatigue, fainting and high blood pressure.

    September 11th is remembered for the attack of the twin towers and the pentagon. There were 4 planes that were hijacked by terrorists who crashed two planes into the North and South towners, one into the Pentagon, and one in a field.

    My dog Bandit is 3 years old. He is a white boxer (this is not him in the picture). He is very energeric and loves to lick people. He is just crazy but fun. He is also very soft.
