    Signing of The Declaration of Independence
    The signing of The Declaration of Independence occurred on August 2, 1776. This happened in the Independence Hall, Philadelphia, PA. The Declaration of Independence was signed to clarify and justify the actions of the Second Continental Congress, which was to also clarify the powers of an office government. This is important because it put some laws in place.

    The Louisiana Purchase was when the nation doubled. Also the Americans got complete power over the Mississippi River. They also discovered new land and discovered other things during the journey.

    The purpose of the Lewis and Clark Journey was to explore unknown territory and discover new territory. They also wanted to establish trade with the Native Americans. It is also when they discovered 200 plants and 120 animals. They also created and made a whole new and accurate map.

    The Donner Party was a group of American pioneers. They migrated to California in a wagon trail. They were delayed by the 5 feet of snow during 1846-1847. They were stuck there for many years so they had to eat their people that traveled with them.

    One big problem we had for women was that they couldn't vote. Beginning in the 19th century women started working very hard to get their rights for voting. They worked for economic and political equality, and they did this so that they could earn their right for voting. Then as they kept fighting for it they finally got the right to vote.

    The bombing of Pearl Harbor was a surprise because the Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service military striked the United States. This happened in Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Imperial Japanese Navy Air Service intended to attack the United States so they could keep them from interfering with their planned military actions. This is also important because people died and it wasn't fair to those people.

    In 1969, American astronauts, Neil Armstrong and Edwin Buzz Aldrin became the first humans to ever land on the moon. The Soviet Union was still training and they were doing their space developments. As the were working and training these two men beat them to the moon. After the two men landed on the moon then more people started going and then people started getting jobs and getting paid from doing this.

    September 11, 2001
    The September 11 attacks had many different attacks combined into one. Their were 4 different attacks and they were, The Twin Towers, The Pentagon, and a plane(s) were hijacked. When all of these things happened, 2,996 people were killed and over 6,000 people were injured. I think this was a very important time because many people died and got hurt.

  • When I Lived in Guatemala

    When I Lived in Guatemala
    One very important part of my life was living in Guatemala. When we lived in Guatemala we helped give food and many other things to orphanages in need. We also went to talk about god to these orphanages. We finally moved back to Pennsylvania after we lived in Guatemala for a year. This was a very important part of my life because we were helping people and also because we were helping save peoples lives.
