It is official?
This event took place in Philadelphia. It is called the Declaration of Independence. This is a hand written document with all the famous people signature like Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams etc. It was a very old piece that is locked up in Philadelphia. -
Was the buy necessary?
This historical event is called the Louisiana Purchase. The United States President, Thomas Jefferson, bought the Louisiana Territory from France for $15 million. This impacted the United States economically, geographically, and politically. Thomas Jefferson didn't ask congress if he could buy the territory. He did it on his own and people were proud and some were upset. They were losing workers from the city and they would move over west and start farms for money. -
Was this a great move?
This was a very historical time in history that changed the way the United States lived. A guy named Lewis and his buddy Clark were hired by Thomas Jefferson to explore the Western Territory. Clark was to create a map of the routes as they went down the Mississippi river. These two guys made it to the ocean and back alive with only 1 dead from their group. Native Americans helped Lewis and Clark on their journey by letting them come to their territory and letting them stay for a while. -
This was a good move?
This was a war between colonist of the United States and the Mexican government in Texas. The United States didn't want the Mexican government to keep increasing. Their were other clashes before between colonist and official groups. -
The battle wasn't necessary
The battle of Fort Sumter was a battle that we will never forget. The Confederate soldiers fired first which started world war. President Lincoln Sent supplies to Fort Sumter because they were very low on supply. After they goat the supply of ammo and guns, they made Fort Sumter surrender. That was a bad choice on Abraham Lincoln's part. -
He was a good man
Why did they assassinate him? He was a good man for the United States. Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president. He was a good leader. This event was important because he was the best known president back then and we needed him. -
Best day ever
This was the day that my favorite football team was founded. The Green Bay Packers were another team added to the NFL. This was important because they didn't have another team to place all the other players on. This was a good time in history. -
He's the best
His first appearance was in 1938. His name was superman. Superman was one of the best comic books. His first appearance was in a comic book called Action Comics. He was created by Jerry Seigel and Joe Shuster. If you don't like him and you are a fan of Batman, It won't be pretty if they fight. -
Did he win?
Brown v board of education was a case in the Supreme Court in which the court declared state laws. This was a racist law. The law was to create schools for blacks only and only whites. They couldn't meet or talk to each other. I think they shouldn't keep blacks away from whites. They could help each other and find away to get along. -
Why so early?
Remember that great singer from the 1970's. That was a legend of singing and he is gone. Elvis Presley was a great singer and a great person. He died at the age of 42 because of a heart attack. He was my favorite singer when I was 9. He didn't deserve to die because he created the great music. -
When the buildings fell
September 11, 2001 was a very important day for the United States because that's the day a terrorist attacks was put on the World Trade Center( Twin Towers). Over 2,500 people died (most of them were from the force). Four planes were hijacked and 2 hit the twin towers and 1 hit the Pentagon. We are still upset today about this incident. -

Good, he's gone
This was a really bad man. He was the one who sent the terrorists to hijack the planes and crash them into the twin towers. They found him and shot him to his death. He deserved this because of what he did to the Americans. This was important because he would've done something else bad to the Americans.
