    This was the first time women had been looked at as people or "persons" instead as objects or servants to men.

    I believe this is change since before this women weren't viewed as persons. This was a very big step and not all people agreed with it. By being viewed as something else was a very big change for people.

    Many farmers went bankrupt and lost their farms due to the prices being so low.

    The great depression was very different especially for farmers. They were trying there best but the depression was life changing for some of them.

    Workers were mad because of the bad working conditions and low pay. This riot was a way for them to stand up for themselves.

    This wasn't the first time workers had gone on strike or protested and it wasn't the last. The way the workers were being treated hadn't changed either which is why they were still fighting back.

    Men were still protesting for better living conditions and better pay. This also shows how badly the conditions were since they had to protest and go on strike so many times.

    Workers from unemployment relief camps decided to go on strike. They were angry because they were in poor living conditions and decided to protest. They eventually went to Regina where strike leaders were arrested.

    The war gave many jobs to farmers and helped bring them out of the great depression. Costs for things increased and people were able to grow crops again.

    The war was different because it actually helped Canada out of the Great Depression. Many things changed throughout the war as well such as women in the navy.

    This was the first time women were allowed to help fight a war. These women inspired other women to help out as well.

    Women weren't allowed in positions like this before so it was a change. women were only allowed to be nurses or drivers so actually being allowed to help was a very big change.
