    State of Pennsylvania allowed for any child not reaching a mindset of a five year old to be turned down from attending school. The other party was fighting for rights for children with disabilities to go to school. Court hearing students with disabilities got access to schools for free school would accommodate the students needs for a learning environment that worked for them. Case helps students today get access to a free productive education.

    Board of Education v. Rowley, 458 U.S. 176 (1982)

    School refused to provide interpreter for Amy. Parent went to court to receive help in getting Amy what she needed. Court ruled in Amy's favor. This case helps other students with disabilities gain access to things that will help them achieve within school.

    Honig v. Doe, 484 U.S. 305 (1988)

    School suspending student for acting out, but it was stated within his IEP of his disorder. Grandparents stated Doe should not be suspended for something that was out of his control. Courts ruled that students could not be suspended for more than ten days or 40 days if dangerous acting out occurred. This helps students with certain disorders have protection to stop schools from suspending or expelling them for something out of students control.
