  • Rowlatt Acts

    This act allowed people convicted of crimes to be tried without juries and permitted internment of suspects without trial. This was important because it shaped the way that the court works today and also made convicting people of the crime much faster.

    This was a conference that was held by the president with the us army. This was important because it was a major conference and it was a non-armed conference. There were many important matters that took place at this meeting.

    Was a depression or severe recession in an economy or market that took place across the world in most industrialized countries. This was an important even because it was a cause after World War I and it led into War World II. The Great Depression also lasted for a round ten years. It caused many people to lose their jobs and they would have to change their way of life.
  • The Salt March

    The Salt March was an act of disobedience. They marched to the ocean to get the salt water to produce their own salt, because the British were taxing the salt that they were importing. This march was led by Gandhi. This event was import because it was part of Gandhi nonviolence protest and it showed us how if we want something we can get and we don’t need to use war and guns and that there is another way. It also showed how if you believe you can do something yourself and not buy the goods.

    The Long March was a 6,000 mile hike that the Chinese Communists took across China. This was an important event because it was the reason that the Chinese communist party was moved from the southeaster side to the northwestern side. This was also the cause of Moe Zedong becoming the leader of the party.

    The Great Purge was a campaign of political repression. The Great Purge took place in the Soviet Union for about two years. It was an historical event because it helped the Soviet Union gain the control that they need to exceeded. It also brought the party together in the end.
