The case was the first Special Education case decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. First case to interpret portions of the Education for all Handicapped Children ACT (EHA) and Education for all Handicapped Children ACT (EHA) enacted in 1975.
The final ruling was that all children Handicapped will receive a free appropriate public education. Children with disabilities were able to get the proper education they needed through EHA, FAPE & IEP.
