Hero Project Timeline

  • Hero questions in class.

    Discovered what I thought was the definition of a hero.
  • Heard the story of the subway hero.

    I thought the subway hero's story was very inspiring.
  • Read the first chapter of John McCain's book, learned about the heroic story of Roy Benavides.

    I could not fully wrap my mind around Roy Benavides' heoric story!
  • I started to think about the hero I was going to research.

    I had several ideas, such as Anne Frank, Harriet Tubman, and Rosa Parks. I wanted to research the drummer of my favorite band, The Beach Boys, Dennis WIlson. I ended up deciding he did not quite fit my definition of a hero.
  • Watched the interview of Kristi Quillen, a peace corps volunteer.

    My definition of a hero was expanded.
  • Decided to research Princess Diana.

    I decided this after talking to my family about who I could research.
  • Checked out two of my books at the county library.

  • Went to CRHS library to research.

    Found my two articles.
  • CRHS Library.

    Started reading my book.
  • Read and discussed with a group about heroes in literature.

    The assginment gave me another look at heroes. My defintion of heroes remained the same.

    I shared how I chose my hero.

    Continued to read my book.
  • Second blog post due.

    Wrote about my heroes from literature.
  • Everyone shared about their hero.

    I got to hear about everyone's heroes. This helped me understand other classmates views on heroes.
