Our class watched a video of Wesley Autrey and my first definition of a hero is formulated. I believed that a hero is someone who risks their life for the sake of others showing no selfishness. -

Kristi Quillen Volunteer
I watched a video about Kristi Quillen, a Peace Corps volunteer, and my initial definition of a hero begins to change because I realisze that although Ms. Quillen is not in immediate danger and is not directly risking her life, she is still heroic because of her sacrifices. -
Heroes In Literature
In class we divide into groups and discuss who is most heroic in literature, the authour, character, or inspiration. I conclude that the authors are always the heroe because they are the people who expose the stories sometimes pushing social norms such as Jane Austen. This also proved my first definition of a hero false because the authours were not neccessarily in danger but they were still heroes. -

I choose Chris Gardner, author of the Persuit of Happyness, to be my hero for this hero project. -
