    Catherine of Aragon was Henry's first wife. She was married to him for 24 years, the marriage bringing friendship between England and Spain, but he eventually divorced her when she reached the age of 40 because he thought she ws too old and boring. He then celebrated at her funeral!!

    Anne Boleyn was married to Henry for 3 years before he beheaded her after accusing her of having sex with four other men and his brother. He originally married her because he wanted to have a boy to become heir to the throne when he died. After she found out she was going to be beheaded, she ran to Henry screaming for mercy, and it is told her ghost still haunts that corridor at Hampton Court Palace

    Jayne Seymour was Henry's favourite wife by a distance. She gave birth to his only surviving boy, but then dieed of an infection a few days after childbirth. That meant that she was only married to him for a year, even though she did what he always wanted- gave him a son.

    Anne of Cleves was only married to Henry for six months. This is because Henry married her because of a picture he saw, not knowing what she actually looked like. When he saw her in real life, he divorced her, and described her as a fat mare from Flanders. He married her to bring peace between Cleves and England

    Catherine Parr was married to Henry for 4 years befoere he died of a disease on January 28, 1547. He married her because it ensured that his son (Edward) would grow up as a Protestant. However,after Henry died, Catherine got into a secret relationship with someone else, which ended up withe her dying a year later through childbirth.
