In the year 1534, Henry decalres himself supreme head of the church of Enlgand. This results in a seperation from the Italian Roman Catholic church and resulted in the formation of the Church of England. This began the Reformation period in England.

Henry has second wife, Anne Boleyn, investigated for high treason. Many believed he started this investigation because Anne was not giving him a son and he was already looking to Jane Seymour as his next wife. Anne Boleyn is found guilty on May 15 and is beheaded on May 19th.

Henry VIII dies at age 57. At the time of his death he was very obese with a waistline of 54 inches and possibly died of syphilis. During his life, Henry had six wives, many mistresses and six children. Upon his death his only son Edward VI becomes King Of England.
