Battle at GreenbrierHe heard a couple of cannons, and he knew that the battle was starting. They lost 4 men, and 21 were wounded. They whipped the Yankees back to Cheat Mountain. Henry saw Yankee tents at thhe top of the Mountain.

Pocahontas Co. West Virgina.Henry was disapointed when none of the Yankees came back to fight. But it is now snowing and they now have to move back into other cabins.

ShenandoahHenry is now in Virginia,they left last wensday. They came up to Minterey and then the next day they went to Mcdowell. They are now on their way to Rodgerses.

Big BattleThey broke into the Yankee Forts in Harriosnburg, Virginia. They had a minor fight near Strassburg. They captured 52 Yankees. There was another fight and we lost General Ashby.

General JacksonThey had one of the hardest fights that they ever had since the war began. General Jackson has lost one of his arms and now has gotten the pneumonia. He is was expected to live. He was shot by our own pickets.

Grass dead Joseph Grass is dead. Henry was, at first, told that he was wounded then it turned out he was dead. He died at the battle of Gettys Burg.
