Heelotia Hokia Timeline

  • First High Hokie

    First High Hokie
    The High Hokie is the leader of Hokia, and must be a female. The High Hokie gives and takes Hokie's tokens, gives Hokies the right to talk to hokies of the opposite gender, and decides the punishment of outsiders, which is generally being exiled from Hokia. She also leads occassional important meetings.
  • First High Heelo

    First High Heelo
    Shortly after the election of the High Hokie, Heelotia elected a leader of their own, the High Heelo. The High Heelo can be either gender, and its only task is to call meetings.
  • Exile in Hokia

    Exile in Hokia
    Small amounts of Heelotians travel to the rich country of Hokia in search of money, but after disrespecting the culture, they were exiled, and sent back. Media in Hokia shows strange people hissing, and whispering strange questions, which meant they must be kicked out, while in Heelotia, media shows reports of people talking loudly, making eye contact, and even touching each other.
  • Migration

    Migration
    The two countries start to mix together. The Heelotian population is at a peak in Hokia, and the Hokie population is increasing in Heelotia also. They are in search of money, and goods they don't have in their land.
  • Struggles for Hokia

    Struggles for Hokia
    Their ability to talk only with numbers allows for trade, but very limited. The High Hokie holds meetings to try to solve their problem, but disagreement within the meeting only leads to people becoming frustrated. Anger with the High Hokie, and not the usual rich income causes small riots in the capital city.
  • Struggles for Heelotia

    Struggles for Heelotia
    Lack of communication results in a low trade with other countries. The country doesn't have much money to begin with, and can't start gaining money, so Heelotians live in poor conditions. Their hissing towards outsiders doesn't allow much help from other countries.
  • Cultural Diffussion

    Cultural Diffussion
    The two countries realize that the only way they are going to solve their trade issues is to accept the ways of others. The countries decide to learn how to act in their neghboring countries. The High Hokie and High Heelo sign a treety agreeing to no exile or hissing for one year to improve each others economy.
  • Cooperation and Success

    Cooperation and Success
    Now knowing how to commuicate, Heelotia rises out of poverty, and Hokia is one of the most powerful countries in all of Africa, and Europe. The Heelotians are happy with the Hokies, but Hokies are still not satisfied...
  • Conflict

    Conflict
    On the day the treaty ends, the Hokies start sending thousands of Heelotians back to Heelotia. Heelotians, who expected to continue the cooperation, are furious. Media angers Heelotians, again showing the brutality of the Hokies, and the media in Hokia says that Hokies should be happier now that the Heelotians are gone.
  • Exlie in Heelotia.

    Exlie in Heelotia.
    Heelotians are sick of being kicked out of Hokia, when Hokies are still coming to Heelotia. Protesting in the capital city forces the Heelotians to hold a meeting, and decide that they will start to ship out any outsiders who disrespect their culture.
  • Effect of Media

    Effect of Media
    At this point, media has been adding fuel to the fire for to long. All of the reports about the other countries doing bad things have the citizens of each country just sick of the other one. However, Heelotia is getting the worse of it, as they are still a poor country, and Hokia is still very powerful.
  • Heelotia Strikes

    Heelotia Strikes
    Heelotia, knowing they are the weaker country decides to strike first at Hokia. They attack the capital city, however the High Hokie manages to escape alive. Not a lot of damge was done because the attack had been expected.
  • Period: to

    War/ Conflict

    After Heelotia attacks first, the two countries battle it out until finally, Hokia is able to defeat Heelotia. In the end, the Hokia gains the land, and the two cultures combine to form a new one.
  • Hokia Strikes Back

    Hokia Strikes Back
    In fear of having the war inside of Hokia after several attacks, Hokies storm into Heelotia. Hokies take control of the border and continue to push forward.
  • Hokie Domination

    Hokie Domination
    Communication is the main reason why the Hokies are having success in the war. The Heelotians talk very quietly and hate loud noise, plus they refuse to touch each other. In battle they are very weak. Also, the Hokies have a much larger amount of supplies, and money usable for this war.
  • Heelotian Comeback

    Heelotian Comeback
    The Heelotians know they're close to defeat, so they have to change their ways. They take ways from the Hokie culture, including louder talking, and touching. The soldiers implement these things into their fighting style and are able to find some success.
  • Changes for the Hokies

    Changes for the Hokies
    The Hokies notice how the Heelotian fighting style has both changed and improved, and realize they're not having as much success as they have been. The Hokie soldiers stop talking only in numbers and start communicating without only questions.
  • Assault on the Heelotian Capital

    Assault on the Heelotian Capital
    The Hokies now try to end the war, calling all arms on the Heelotian capital city. The war is nearly over, but the High Heelo still lives.
  • The end of the war

    The end of the war
    Rather than assassinating the High Heelo, the Hokies cpature him and hold a meeting. In exhange for the Hokies taking the land, the Heelotians may stay and live in peace along with the Hokies.
  • The New Way of Life

    The New Way of Life
    The citizens shake hands to begin the conversation, but no longer say the number of which they were born. The opposite genders can talk to each other, and speak loudly. They touch each other for yes or no, but they don't make eye contact, and do speak standing on each other's right side. When the conersation is over, they no longer shake hands, and there no longer is any hissing.
  • The Future for Hokia

    The Future for Hokia
    Rather than teaching all Heelotians the Hokie culture, The High Hokie decides to let the cultures mix. With the High Heelo Heelo her new secretary, the Hokie culture has diffused so now it is a combination of the two cultures.
